More requests have come in from people tracing their family trees and wanting to get in touch with anyone remembering their relatives. This time the enquiries are for the Bird, Satchwell, Butler and Bullas families.
We have had a website response from Bronwyn in Australia who says ‘My father was Harold Thomas Whitehouse who was born in Cheslyn Hay in 1926. He worked at a coal mine for a while after coming out of the army then immigrated to Australia in 1950 where he married and lived till his death. He always felt Cheslyn Hay was his home even naming his house here Cheslyn Hay. His brothers & sisters were Bert, Noel, Yvonne, Mary (married Harry James), Janet and Anne. Can anyone help?
Plus another website enquiry asking if anyone know the Whitehouse firm that used to make geological hammers?
One more request from Dianne Hickenbottom researching the Parsons (Cyril, Clarence and Ernest) family. Does anyone have any connections/knowledge of Cyril Parsons born in CH in 1903 and lived at 104 High Street and later at 166 High Street. He had 2 brothers Clarence and Herbert and two sisters Grace-Evelyn and Emma. Can anyone help?
Please contact me for further information.
Hi ,i’m Adrian, son of Janet Wise nee Whitehouse, youngest sister of the said Harold.Would like to contact Bronwyn or alternatively she could contact me on 07925152384(mobile).
My mother was janet whitehouse sister of harold. my mother passed away in february last year, and i would be interested in speaking with bronwyn who i believe would be my cousin
Hi, I am 2 x grandaughter of Job Lockett and Harriet Bullas (Bullos), Job was born in Cheslyn Hay circa 1833 and the eldest son of Moses and Harriet Lockett nee Brierley. Moses and Harriet were publicans of the Colliers Arms Public House for a few years before each of their deaths in 1882 and 1885 respectively. In the many years of my research I have found snippets of information on such surnames as Brevitt, Brierley, Crutchley, Arnold, Westwood etc. However, sadly the Bullos surname has been the stumbling block for me.
This is for either Adrian or Louise Wise I am Bronwyn’s sister and we are both looking for information on the family and we would love to connect with family. A good way is through facebook.
