At the annual meeting of Cheslyn Hay Working Men’s Club it was decided to award £10 each year to the local schools and provide prizes for the children of members of the club.

It was home mission week at last week’s meeting of Cheslyn Hay Wesley Guild, with Mr. B. Kingston in the chair.

Mrs. D. Smith, Chairman, presided over a very good attendance at last week’s meeting of Cheslyn Hay Over 60’s Club with guest speaker Mr. I. Walker.

On Saturday afternoon last quite a good number accompanied the local Institute football team to Stafford where a match was played. A very regrettable incident occurred when Tom Goodman got his leg broken in two places.
The members of the Working Men’s Club appeared to take much interest in the annual election of officers last week. Mr. W. Hall was re-elected as President with 90 votes with full details of the seven vacancies on the Committee from 26 nominations.

On Monday evening the Cheslyn Hay Permanent War Memorial Committee, decided to take a ballot of the inhabitants on the question voting on five separate suggestions.

who was our local butcher, Lotes, Cross Street has sadly passed away this week, we would like to send our condolences to his family.
