This year we are visiting  Stokesay Castle and Ludlow on Thursday 14th May 2020 leaving from  Salem, High Street, Cheslyn Hay at 9am.

Our Salem Base  is open from  9am – 2pm every Tuesday. Committee 1pm

26th February 1970
  Story of Michael Jones marrying Marion Smith of 38 Mitre Road and emigrating to Australia.

26th February 1970  A petition signed by 124 people on the Landywood estate has been sent to Staffordshire County Council asking them to take over Coppice Close, one of the estates neglected roads
26th February 1920  The next few months could see the formation of a branch of the Girls Brigade in Cheslyn Hay organised by the Methodist Minister, the Rev. Ronald Hicks.

26th February 1970  Young children in Cheslyn Hay area should not be at a loose end for something to do  during the long summer evenings this year, judging by the number of organisations likely top be formed within the next few months by the Methodist Minister, the Rev. R. Hicks.

 local demobilised soldier in the person of J. Wesley had received an invitation to have a trial with Newport County this Saturday afternoon.
Last week the annual meeting of the Senior Bowling Club was held at the Red Lion hotel, with the club had experiencing a most successful season.
On Thursday evening the Primitive Methodist Church, was filled when a Concert was held in aid of the new organ fund. 

28th February 1920  On Friday afternoon the remains of the late B. Potts, of the Lord Nelson Inn, were laid to rest at the local cemetery.  Full details.
General News  Julian Allen’s Funeral will be held on Thursday 12th March 11.15am at Bushbury Crematorium, West Chapel  and there’ll be a Thanksgiving Service at the Salem at a later date to be announced.
