Cannock Advertiser  16th July 1970  Parents fear that if no action is taken to widen Streets Lane, Cheslyn Hay, and provide a footpath, the lives of their children are in danger.  Full story involving Mrs D. S. Whitehouse of Streets Lane, Mrs. A. Moore and Miss. C. Dace.

16th July 1970  Michael Sturgess (15) of 19,Hatherton Street, Cheslyn Hay, taken to Walsall Hospital after accident.

Cannock Chase Courier  17th July 1920  In the Nis Prius Court at the Birmingham Assizes, Fanny Mary Holland, was awarded £50 for breach of Promise of Marriage, against Robert Holmes, a branch manager of the Co-operative Stores, at Cheslyn Hay.  Full story over the dispute.

17th July 1920  A meeting of Cheslyn Hay Property Owners was held Full detials of the outcome.

General News  Rob Perks funeral is on Thursday 23rd July, due to Covid restrictions mourners are strictly limited at Stafford Crematorium . The cortege will be leaving Low Street 10.45am.

We have received the sad news that another Society stalwart, Wilf Kendall has passed away aged 93. Wilf had been a member of the Society for many years and was considered to be one of the best sources of local knowledge of Cheslyn Hay.
