Cannock Advertiser  14th January 1971  A letter from W. Sleigh, 112 Station Street, Chesly Hay referring to how old miners are being neglected.

4th January 1971  An objection from a bus company and a petition from local residents may mean that plans for  a one-way road system in Cheslyn Hay will be drastically altered by the County Council.  Full details.
Cannock Advertiser  Unfortunately the local newspaper for January 1921 is missing so we included articles from January 1955.
22nd January 1955
  Story of Cheslyn Hay Parish Council supporting Cannock Rural District Council and Great Wyrley Parish Council in their protests to the responsible ministries about the extension of opencast mining at Great Wyrley.
