Trevor’s Trivia
Details of the findings around the village from the successful metal detecting programme twenty years ago including a 3,500 year old bronze axehead, Roman bronze coins and brooches, silver ‘hammered’ coins including a James I sixpence (minted between 1604 and 1606), a Charles groat and a William III shilling (1694–1702).  Also coins donated by our members having been ‘dug up’ in their back gardens from the early 1700s.

News
We are very sad to report that Keith Powney has sadly passed away. He had previously lived in Cheslyn Hay for many years attending the local School and was also a member of the Choir. Keith had kept in touch with the village and many old friends over the years. We would like to offer our sincere condolences to the Powney family on their sad loss.
