Due to Covid Restrictions we have been unable to continue our research of the newspapers at the local libraries, to avoid disappointment  we are including reports from previous years where possible.

Details of the half yearly meeting of the Rugeley District of the Ancient Order of Oddfellows held at the Cheslyn Hay Working Men’s Club.

Story of the miners’ stoppage, now in its fourth week.  Now severely felt and the question of feeding the children has been considered and includes 550 children of Lower Landywood, Great Wyrley, Upper Landywood and Newtown.

30th April 1921  Story of the death of P.c. Thomas Hulme, a well-known and greatly respected officer, and who married the daughter of Mrs. J. Rogers, of the Woodman Inn, Littlewood.
