Lichfield Mercury  7th May 1971   The Woodman, Cheslyn Hay lost to Lichfield Bowling Club in the first match of the season in a Cannock Thursday League Match.  Full indivual match scores.
Cannock Chase Courier  07 May 1921  Discussion on the Great Wyrley Sewerage Scheme at the meeting of the Cannock Rural District Council  on Friday.

The Midland Music Festival Competition  with Mr. Ernest Amphlett, the well known local musical conductor attaining several successes at the Midland Musical Festival held in Birmingham Town Hall.

School Sermons at Landywood  In connection with the Lower Landywood Wesleyan Church, the Sunday School Sermons were held, on Sunday.  Full details.

Story of a large congregation assembled at St. Mark’s Church Great Wyrley, for the special services in celebration of Ladies Day.

Details of the opening of the bowling green connected to the Working Men’s Club.

Story of the Landywood Working Mens Club entertaining the children of the parish to tea on Sunday afternoon when about 300 children partook  of an excellent meal.

The members of the Senior Bowling Club have commenced the season last week a successful competition was commenced.  Full details.
