Hello,

I'm interested to know if I'll be able to purchase on of your publictions. The item I'm interested in is the DVD "Walk about the Bonk". My wife and I will be coming down next year in June to visit my aunt who is resident in Cheslyn Hay. I'm always fascinated in looking at old photos of places in the bygone days especially places I visit. Could you advise me on how I go about doing this if the DVD is still available. Thanks very much. I'm enjoying yourwebsite very much.

Hi,
My family and I live on the plot of land which used to be the Methodist Church in Bentons Lane circa 1836 which was run by the Benton's. Could you please advise on which publication or library I could obtain more information regarding the history of the plot and any unusual deaths. A strange request I know but we do have regular sightings of a small boy walking across our landing. When my son was four he would often talk about his conversations with,Sam,a small boy dressed in strange clothes.
Any help in terms of pointing us in the right direction would be much appriciated.
Kindest Regards

Hallo

Is there an archive on burials in Cheslyn Hay Cemetery. My grandparents John Roberts died 1946 and Harriet Roberts died 1956 are buried there, also their twin daughters Edna and Doris who both died in 1913. I would like to find out where they are, some one from your society sent me the information on my grandparents which I kept on my computer which unfortunately crashed and I lost the information,

Is there any way I could pick up publications as I only live in Bloxwich?

Many thanks for your time.

The GENUKI web site advises me:

A transcript of Cheslyn Hay Methodist Churches Baptismal records has been produced on CD by Cheslyn Hay Local History Society and is available from the Birmingham & Midland SGH. This includes records for Great Wyrley Jacob's Hall Lane, 1897-1982 and Upper Landywood, 1861-2000, and three Cheslyn Hay Chapels.

I can find no details of this on your web site or on the web site of Birmingham & Midland SGH.

Please would you be able to advise me.

Many thanks.

Noticed that Sue has now finished doing the poor laws and very much would like a copy of your cd. Will post tomorrow a cheque for my membership and also monies for the CD plus postage and may try if the weather is not too bad in March to come to one of your meetings. I see you have a photograph day in March which would be really interesting. Does Sue still help with the society, the last email i had from her was in April 07 giving me her new email and address. Thanks Anne Layland
